What is endometrial platelet-rich plasma?

PRP is a concentration of platelets obtained from the patient’s blood. We apply it to the endometrium to improve its quality and receptivity, because it contains growth, regeneration and tissue repair factors capable of creating a more favourable environment for embryo implantation. It is a technique that we include free of charge in treatments that require it.

When is it used?

Women with a thin endometrium

Not responding well to hormonal stimulation.

Implantation failure

Patients with recurrent implantation failure in IVF cycles.

Reduced receptivity

Women diagnosed with low endometrial receptivity.

Previous history of miscarriage

Patients with a history of recurrent miscarriages.

Benefits of Endometrial PRP

It can increase the thickness and quality of the endometrium, making it more receptive.

By improving the endometrial environment, implantation success and pregnancy rates can increase.

By using the body’s own growth factors, natural regeneration is achieved without major side effects.

PRP is included free of charge when necessary in the following treatments

How is it done?

The process is simple. The patient’s blood is drawn and immediately processed in the laboratory to increase the regenerative factors present in the plasma and concentrate them. Intrauterine inoculation of this compound is then carried out in the consultation room.

What results can be expected?

Endometrial PRP helps improve implantation and pregnancy rates in patients with endometrial problems with a minimally invasive procedure that minimises the risk of adverse reactions, is painless, quick and safe.

FAQs about Endometrial PRP

What is Endometrial PRP?
It consists of applying the patient’s own platelet-rich plasma (PRP) to the endometrium in order to improve its quality and receptivity, thus facilitating embryo implantation.
How is it obtained?
It is obtained from a sample of the patient’s blood, which is centrifuged to concentrate the platelets and obtain a plasma rich in growth factors that promote cell regeneration.
How is it applied?
PRP is applied directly into the endometrium using a thin catheter. It is painless and safe. It is usually performed a few days before embryo transfer in an IVF cycle.
How many inoculations are needed?
The number may vary from case to case. In some cases, a single application is sufficient, while in others, several applications may be necessary at different times of the cycle.
What is the cost of Endometrial PRP at IGIN?
At IGIN we do not apply any additional cost for the use of this technique. We include it as a base in all treatments, whenever medical advice requires it.
